Bologna met with Davide Torchia, the agent of Juventus defender Daniele Rugani, at their Casteldebole training ground as they continue exploring a possible summer deal.
The Rossoblu have been trying to sell Riccardo Calafiori to Arsenal for a number of weeks now and have recently hit a roadblock, having a €10m difference between valuation and offer. Due to the 40-50% future resale clause, Bologna want at least €50m in cash for the talented defender.
Arsenal’s latest offer for Calafiori sits at €54m but seemingly includes a number of add-ons and bonuses, having a lower fixed fee. For now, no deal has been agreed and Calafiori has been called up for the pre-season training camp, but a move still appears likely.
Gianluca Di Marzio details how Bologna want to quickly replace Calafiori once they’ve completed the deal with Arsenal and have started targeting Juventus veteran Rugani as a possible replacement.
The 29-year-old’s agent Torchia met with the Rossoblu directors at their Casteldebole training ground on Thursday morning, where the two parties discussed the margins of a deal.
