Bologna have confirmed they will be without both captain Lewis Ferguson and goalkeeper Lukasz Skorupski for at least three weeks, forced to miss some massive games.

The midfielder pulled out during the warm-up of last night’s 1-1 draw with Napoli after suffering a muscular issue.

He has now been diagnosed with a low-grade lesion to the rectus femoris in his right leg.

Goalkeeper Skorupski had started the match, but was forced to limp off during the first half after rushing off his line to make a save.

The Poland international has sustained a low-grade lesion of the adductor in his right thigh.

A statement from the medical staff confirms both are expected to be out of action for circa three weeks.

It means missing some massive games, because the Rossoblu face Atalanta and Inter before the second leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final against Empoli on April 24.

Coach Vincenzo Italiano could also be without the pair for the trip to Udinese, but hopes they will be back to full fitness for clashes against Juventus, Milan and Fiorentina in early May.

They are currently fourth in the Serie A table and on track to play the Coppa Italia Final after winning the first leg 3-0.
