Bologna interested in former Roma defender Riccardo Calafiori | OneFootball

Serie A side Bologna are interested in current Basel and former Roma full-back Riccardo Calafiori this month.

The 20-year-old defender had spent the second half of the previous season on loan from Roma at Genoa, who were later relegated to the Serie B at the end of the campaign. Calafiori returned to Roma in the summer and was sold to Swiss giants Basel in the summer of 2022.

According to sources contacted by Get Italian Football News, Bologna are interested in signing the full-back this month and they could make a move in the January transfer window.

Calafiori had made six Serie A appearances for Roma last season and could play only three times for Genoa in their hunt to avoid relegation. For Basel this season, he has played nine games in the Super League and has two appearances in the UEFA Conference League so far. He has one senior goal and that came in the Europa League for Roma.
