Bologna held on to all three points on Sunday after an impressive win over Roma.
Scorers: Moro 37′, Kristensen 49′ OG
Serie A’s underdogs continue to rise up the table as Jose Mourinho’s men were put to the sword.
Bologna took both their efforts when they arrived, as two goals from two shots on target proved enough to see off the misfiring visitors.
Nikola Moro blasted home the opener after crashing the box, and then Rasmus Kristensen redirected a cross into his own net after the break.
Roma were without the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Paulo Dybala, while Andrea Belotti couldn’t step up in their absence.
Additionally, shocking scenes saw Renato Sanches enter the pitch at half-time but hauled off after 18 minutes suggesting maybe Mourinho was puzzled as to how to get back into the game.
The victory testifies to Bologna’s strong form this season, having already held Juventus, Napoli and Inter to draws this season and beat Lazio.
Looking at the table, they sit fourth, one point above Napoli and 10 behind the leaders. Roma, meanwhile, are seventh and missed chance to close in on the top four.
