Bologna are challenging Premier League pair Liverpool and Leeds for Aberdeen fullback Calvin Ramsay.
Both the Reds and Leeds are understood to be tracking the Aberdeen youngster, who was recently crowned the Scottish Football Writers' Young Player of the Year.
But Italian outfit Bologna attempted to sign Ramsay in January for a deal worth £4.8million and now The Scotsman is reporting that the same team is ready to get back around the negotiating table to try and thrash out a deal.
Ramsay has been identified as a possible back-up for Anfield's first choice right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold.
When Bolonga failed to sign Ramsay in January they brought in Dutch teenager Denso Kasius from Utrecht, but the move has so far not been a success, prompting the Italians to take another look at Ramsay.
