Ola Solbakken is expected to land tomorrow in Italy following Norway’s friendly with Finland scheduled later today.

The Norwegian attacker will be in the capital to finalize the remaining formalities which will enable him to become a new Roma player in January.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, it is unlikely that Solbakken will be allowed to travel with the team to Japan and later on to Portugal for training camp given that he’s still under contract with Bodo/Glimt until 31 December.

Bodo/Glimt, on the other hand, were reportedly unhappy with his decision to join the Giallorossi and tried to dissuade the 23-year-old from accepting Roma’s offer.

This can be explained by the tense rapport the two clubs have shared since the dispute in the aftermath of their mutual encounter in last season’s Conference League knockout round.
