The Giallorossi were defeated 2-1 by the Norwegian side after conceding two second-half goals, putting them in major trouble ahead of next week’s return leg in Rome.

The defeat also snaps Roma’s nearly two-month unbeaten run in all competitions, with their last defeat occurring in early February in the Coppa Italia against Inter.

Despite a goal just before the stroke of halftime, Roma struggled to keep up with Bodø/Glimt’s energy and had difficulties breaking their press.

When asked about what went wrong this evening, Roma defender Marash Kumbulla cited his team’s lack of concentration after they grabbed a 1-0 lead.

“There was a lack of concentration on our part, especially on that second goal,” the Albanian told Sky Sport.

“Now we have to close the chapter from tonight and focus on Sunday. We’ll worry about the return leg after that.”

“Tomorrow we do our analysis and see where we have to improve.”

The two sides will face-off again next Thursday in the Italian capital for the final leg of the tie.
