After earning his first caps with Argentina earlier this year, Franco Vázquez may be craving a return to his native Argentina.
According to a report from Calciomercato, 2018 Copa Libertadores finalists Boca Juniors are looking to bring in the Sevilla midfielder for the 2019 season.
Vázquez began his career in Argentina, graduating from the Belgrano academy in 2007 before moving to Italy in 2012 after signing with Palermo.
The 29-year-old spent five years with Palermo, which included a one-year loan stint with Rayo Vallecano in La Liga.
Since signing for Sevilla in 2016 for €17m, Vázquez has scored 16 goals and contributed 16 assists in 109 appearances in all competitions.
Landing Vázquez would be a major coup for Boca Juniors, however, he has a contract that doesn’t expire until 2021 and it’s unsure whether or not Boca Juniors could afford him.
