Roger Martínez is once again desired by Boca Juniors and rumours about his potential departure have begun to swirl.

It’s believed that the Eagles of América want $8m for the player and reports out of Argentina claim that Boca Juniors are willing to pay $3.5m for 50% of the player’s economic rights.

Last season, it was said that América wanted $10m for the player, a figure that Boca simply could not afford. Now, it is up to the América directors to determine whether or not Boca’s latest offer is fair.

It’s obvious that the player has plenty of quality but there is much to be desired as he has been constantly criticised for his alleged ‘lack of commitment’ to the club.

A potential 50-50 split could prove hugely beneficial to both parties should Roger reach his potential in Argentina, so now we must wait to see what happens next.
