Boca Juniors president Riquelme shared an update regarding the rumors of a return of Leandro Paredes to Argentina.

In an interview with Radio La Red, Riquelme touched upon Leandro Paredes’ future after links with Boca emerged earlier in the summer.

“Paredes? He is my friend, I love him and I adore him,” said Riquelme.

“I talk to him often and he hopes to be able to continue playing in Europe for a while longer.”

“He knows that when he wants to come back, and I am confident, the doors will always be open.”

“But I can’t talk about it every second, also because this could compromise the relationship between Paredes and the fans.”
