Chelsea and Fulham played out a goalless draw in the west London derby to heap more pressure on Graham Potter.

Potter made some major changes to his starting XI as Enzo Fernandez came into the midfield for his debut after becoming the most expensive player in British history on deadline day.

The World Cup winner looked comfortable in position early on as the Blues enjoyed a monopoly on possession in the opening exchanges.

It was Kai Havertz who had the best chance inside the first 20 minutes as the Germany international latched on to a Thiago Silva pass but had his effort saved by Bernd Leno.

Up the other end the Cottagers forced Kepa into a smart save as Andreas Pereira found some space outside the area but saw his effort tipped around the post by the Spaniard.

Right on the stroke of half time it was Havertz again who almost broke the deadlock but saw his chip cleared off the line by Tim Ream.

Mykhailo Mudryk was anonymous in the first half and at the break Noni Madueke came in to replace the Ukrainian winger.

Aleksandr Mitrovic almost opened the scoring on the hour mark but his effort from the halfway line was just tipped out from under the bar by Kepa.

David Datro Fofana almost had his debut goal late on as he rounded Leno but has an effort cleared by Antonee Robinson.
