At a certain point for Leicester fans, enough is enough. Even after winning the Premier League in 2016 and the FA Cup in 2021, the top decision-makers have since disappointed. Those past successes are too often allowed to serve as excuses from other fanbases who suggest that the Foxes should be grateful. Some LCFC supporters even believe that the criticisms and calls to clean house are too harsh.
For many, though, the direction, or in this case, directionlessness, of the club is too much to ignore. Losing and being relegated are one thing, but the way it's happened, along with a series of poor decisions, makes the current performance on the pitch beyond unacceptable.
For the known X account, FosseHub, the time has come for action. Having started in March, a GoFundMe was started to allow a banner to be flown over King Power Stadium. As released on social media, the words 'King Power Clueless. Sack The Board' will be flown during the Liverpool fixture on April 20th.
The sentiments are valid from FosseHub and represent what a lot are thinking and wishing for. While tailoring the initial outright 'King Power Out' message, limiting the message to target the most agreed-upon culprit of Jon Rudkin appears to be the winning ticket for the upcoming LFC game.
Regardless of who the supporters blame or what the perceived best route moving forward is, the current undertakings at City can't continue. Major changes are needed one way or another. There have been notable wins in the past, but they can't continue to protect the horrid process that is evident every week.
Fans have a voice, and using it when things go too far is what a true supporter should do to the best of their ability, rather than accepting the current fate as an inevitable downfall from when City were winning trophies.
It's unknown the extent this or any other demonstration will have on the Leicester decision-makers. If a sign showing the strong displeasure at least embarrasses those who can make a difference, then it's a good undertaking that will hopefully help to bring about a positive turnaround.
