AC Milan have reportedly changed their priority from signing Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford to landing Manchester City defender Kyle Walker.
The Red Devils striker has been grabbing all the headlines – albeit for the wrong reasons – in recent months after being thrown out of the squad for several weeks in a row. The 27-year-old hasn’t featured in any of the club’s last eight competitive fixtures across all competitions under the stern orders of Ruben Amorim.
Therefore, the player’s departure seems inevitable at this stage. However, finding an agreement with another club is proving to be a challenging task so far, especially due to the Englishman’s hefty wages (£325,000 per week).
While the likes of Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona have been mentioned as possible destinations, Milan emerged as a serious contender over the past few days. The Rossoneri are looking to round up their attacking department with one additional player, as Alvaro Morata and Tammy Abraham have been inconsistent in front of goal.
But according to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla, Milan are having second thoughts about their Rashford pursuit, as they’re now leaning towards signing Walker instead.

The Diavolo have already used their non-EU spots on Emerson Royal and Strahinja Pavlovic in the summer, while the Serie A rules allow them to sign one more player from the UK or Albania. Hence, the seven-time European Champions can only choose one between the England duo.
While previous reports had claimed that Rashford would be the priority over his countryman, Pedulla suggests otherwise, especially following recent developments. Sergio Conceicao’s side has lost Malick Thiaw to injury, while Fikayo Tomori is linked with a transfer to Juventus, which leaves the defensive department in need of reinforcement.
Hence, Man Utd might have to find themselves a new ally in their attempts to offload Rashford.
