Although Lizbeth Ángeles’ 60th-minute long-distance screamer gave the visiting Tuzas plenty of life, Blanca Félix proved to be the hero of the match by saving a Charlyn Corral penalty in the 70th minute to keep hold of the aggregate advantage.

Felix came to the rescue once again in the 87th minute, parrying away Alice Soto’s goal-bound effort from close range to secure the trophy.

Though Chivas did not muster up much in the way of attack, Carolina Jaramillo provided their best effort of the night, looping her shot off the crossbar after a corner kick landed at her feet and she attempted to chip to goalkeeper.

The trophy represents Chivas’ second domestic title, having defeated Pachuca in the first-ever version of the title during the 2017 Clausura campaign.
