Blackpool are expected to make another offer for Hearts defender Toby Sibbick after their initial bid worth up to £600,000 was rejected.
The defender has been a key figure for the Jambos this season and he made himself a firm fans favourite after scoring an impressive late goal in the 3-0 victory over bitter rivals Hibernian in the Scottish Cup over the weekend.
And, that form has caught the eye, as it was revealed that the Seasiders had seen a first offer for Sibbick turned down by Hearts.
Nevertheless, that hasn’t put them off, as the Daily Record have claimed that the Championship side are poised to make another move for the 23-year-old, although it’s not clear whether that will be successful.
The update states that Sibbick is happy at Tynecastle and won’t be pushing for a move but they do add that Mick McCarthy is a big fan of the player having been impressed with the defender from his time with Barnsley.
The new Blackpool chief has already strengthened his defence with the addition of Charlie Goode from Brentford.

The verdict
McCarthy is wasting little time in trying to improve the Blackpool squad and the fans will be pleased with that as it’s clear they need new faces.
Sibbick didn’t always convince at Barnsley but he has done very well at Hearts and seems a much more complete defender now, with his pace and physicality particularly impressive.
So, this would be a good signing for Blackpool if they could pull it off but it’s going to be hard as Hearts are flying right now and are sure to be playing in Europe next season.
