The Lancashire side announced the news via a post on their official club X account this afternoon.
The 20-year-old midfielder joins Blackburn Rovers on a free transfer after leaving former club Reading following their resignation from the Barclays Women’s Championship over the summer.
Primmer is a product of Reading’s well-respected academy system. She went on to make her senior debut for The Royals against Birmingham City in the Barclays Women’s Super League in November 2021. In total, the youngster made 27 appearances for Reading in the top flight in which she scored two goals.
Following Reading’s relegation to the Barclays Women’s Championship in 2023, Primmer opted to remain with the club as a full-time professional player. She made 15 appearances for the Berkshire side in the second tier last season, scoring in home fixtures against Lewes and Sheffield United.
Despite her young age, Primmer is a player with plenty of experience in the elite game and she should bring plenty of quality with her to new club Blackburn Rovers.
Primmer could be in-line to make her Blackburn Rovers debut when they travel to Ashton Gate to face Bristol City on Sunday afternoon.
