The Lancashire side announced the news via a post on their official club X account this afternoon.
The teenager has come through the academy system at Everton and she has gone on to force her way onto the fringes of the first team. Settle made her senior debut for The Blue Girls in a Merseyside derby against neighbours Liverpool in the group stage of last season’s Women’s League Cup. She made two further appearances for Brian Sørensen’s side in the second half of the season.
Everton are unable to guarantee the youngster regular first team minutes this season therefore the next step of her development is to play Barclays Women’s Championship football with Blackburn Rovers. Settle joins a Blackburn Rovers side that are expected to battle bravely against relegation this season.
Settle was named amongst the substitutes for Blackburn Rovers’ Barclays Women’s Championship fixture against London City Lionesses at Ewood Park this afternoon. The youngster should be given plenty of opportunities this season with Simon Parker’s squad being relatively low on numbers.
The length of the midfielder’s loan has not been disclosed by Blackburn Rovers.
