Blackburn Rovers midfielder Natasha Fenton has signed a new professional contract with the club for the 2022/2023 season.

The Lancashire club announced the news via an update on their official website earlier today.

Fenton has been with Blackburn Rovers for the last decade, coming through the club’s youth ranks to star for the team at senior level. The player was a member of a Blackburn Rovers team which won back-to-back FA Women National League Northern Premier Division titles in 2017/2018 and 2018/2019 and she has been a regular for the side in their three years in the Barclays Women’s Championship.

This season saw Fenton start every league game for Blackburn Rovers. She completed 21 of those 22 matches, being substituted on just the one occasion against Watford back in September. Fenton now has over 50 Barclays Women’s Championship appearances under her belt in total while she could celebrate a 200th senior appearance in 2022/2023.

The midfielder joins a long list of Blackburn Rovers players to have signed new terms with the club this summer. Manager Gemma Donnelly now has 11 members of her 2021/2022 squad signed on for next season, those being Hannah Coan, Alex Brooks, Helen Seed, Emma Doyle, Lauren Thomas, Ellie Leek, Farah Crompton, Megan Hornby, Jade Richards, Kayleigh McDonald and Fenton.
