The match officials for Leeds United’s Sky Bet Championship clash with Blackburn Rovers on New Year’s Day have been announced, with Oliver Langford set to take charge at Elland Road.
Now in his 15th season as an EFL referee, the West Midland’s based official is approaching the 300-match mark in the second tier.
The referee took charge of the Whites’ season curtain raiser against Portsmouth and has since gone on to take charge of 12 further matches in the Sky Bet Championship this campaign and one tie in the EFL Cup.
That 3-3 result against Pompey took United’s record in fixtures overseen by Langford to 11 wins, four draws and eight defeats.
Blackburn Rovers, meanwhile, have won seven of their 20 matches involving the Group 2 official and have fallen to defeat on eight occasions.
Langford’s most recent Rovers clash saw the Lancashire outfit edged out by Sheffield United on home soil in November.
