The Lancashire club revealed the news via a post on their official club website this morning.
The former Danish international joined Rovers on a short-term deal in February. Kur made five appearances for Matt Bee’s side in the Barclays Women’s Championship, her final professional outing coming in the club’s 1-0 victory over Sunderland at The Eppleton Colliery Welfare Ground on the last day of the season.
Kur has enjoyed a glittering career which has seen her win seven major trophies in her native Denmark. The player is a four-time Kvindeliga winner while she has also lifted four Danish Cups. The forward has represented nine different clubs throughout her career with most of her time being spent with the likes of Brøndby IF and Fortuna Hjørring. She played UEFA Women’s Champions League football with both of those teams.
On the international stage, Kur collected 10 senior caps for Denmark between 2011 and 2015. She also represented her country at various youth levels.
Despite not being able to play a huge role for latest club Blackburn Rovers, Kur will have been able to pass on some of her experience to other players and that will certainly help them in the future.
