Rovers made the announcement via a post on their official club website this morning.
The Lancashire club have previously played their home matches at The Sir Tom Finney Stadium in Bamber Bridge throughout their time in the Barclays Women’s Championship but they have opted for a change ahead of the 2023/2024 season. The change of home venue should not cause too much disruption for the club’s fans. Blackburn Rovers’ new home at Lancashire FA is just 3.5 miles away from their former home in Bamber Bridge.
Blackburn Rovers have played a small number of matches at Ewood Park in recent seasons and that could again be the case in 2023/2024 as the club continue to try to embed themselves within the heart of the local community. The club have been well-backed for the games that they have played in BB2.
The club have confirmed that there is a further announcement to be made with regard to their home fixtures in 2023/2024. It is thought that the news will please fans. Blackburn Rovers are also set to open sales for season tickets for the upcoming campaign next week.
