Yves Bissouma has reportedly asked to ‘be allowed to leave’ Brighton at the end of the season amid interest in the midfielder from some of the Premier League’s leading clubs.

Bissouma has been tracked in recent months by a number of clubs including Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City, with each of the trio considering a summer move for the Seagulls star as they bid to bolster their midfield options.

The 24-year-old has established himself as one of Brighton’s leading talents since arriving in an €18m deal from Lille three years ago, his performances this season having seen the Mali international attract interest from the division’s wealthiest clubs.

According to the Times, Bissouma has now requested to ‘be allowed to leave’ at the end of the season with the midfielder valued in the region of £30m.

Graham Potter will be reluctant to see the dynamic star depart but Bissouma’s contract situation means this summer looks like the sensible time to cash in, the star having just two years remaining on his current contract at the Amex Stadium.

Arsenal are interested in adding to their midfield options this summer following a disappointing season under Mikel Arteta, whilst Liverpool are in search of reinforcements with Georginio Wijnaldum expected to depart on a free transfer at the end of the season.

Manchester City could also make a move with Fernandinho yet to make a decision on his future beyond the current campaign, the 36-year-old club captain out of contract and weighing up whether he wants to continue with the club next season.
