FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the transfer via an official club press release from Birmingham City this morning.
Walker returns to Birmingham City for a second spell after previously representing the club between 2019 and 2021. The forward netted five goals in 41 outings for the Blues in the Barclays Women’s Super League, establishing herself as a popular figure with the club’s fans.
The player has spent the last 18 months with West Ham United. While Walker played an important role for the club in her first season in East London, she has struggled for starts for The Hammers this term and she will be pleased to get the opportunity of more game time with new club Birmingham City.
After completing her Blues return, Walker said “I’m delighted to be here. I know a lot of the girls and have seen a lot of the changes. I actually loved the Club when I was here, so to see it progress as well, I just knew I wanted to come in and help them get back to the WSL.
“I felt at home again. It was a smooth transition coming back in. I can’t wait to get working and improve even more as a player.”
Walker becomes Birmingham City boss Darren Carter’s first signing of the January transfer window.
