Scotland midfielder Billy Gilmour has told Brighton that he wants to join Serie A giants Napoli in the ongoing summer transfer window.
Gilmour has emerged as a major target for Napoli with Antonio Conte pushing to take him to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
Brighton rejected an offer of €10m from Napoli but the Italian club have been working on tabling a new bid.
It has been claimed that the midfielder has already given his consent to the potential move to Napoli this summer.
According to Italian sports daily Gazzetta dello Sport, Gilmour has made it clear to Brighton as well that he wants the move to Napoli.
The Serie A giants have not qualified for Europe for the upcoming season but appointed Conte in the summer to get them back to European football.
Gilmour wants to play in Europe again, especially in the Champions League and feels he has a better chance of achieving that if he moves to Napoli.
The Serie A giants are working on tabling a new bid worth between €12m to €15m to get their hands on the Brighton star.
