At this point it’s pretty much an open secret: Barring an unexpected change in events, Sandro Wagner will become a Bayern Munich player in January.
He will bring much needed cover for Robert Lewandowski, who complained recently about his workload. Some say that Bayern are too reliant on the Pole and the addition of another proven striker seems to make a lot of sense.
And German daily Bild believe they now know how much Wagner will cost.
They claim a fee of €15m will see Hoffenheim part ways with the Germany international, who has scored four Bundesliga goals this season.
At 29, Wagner is at the peak of his powers and while €15m may seem steep given his career trajectory, Bayern will look back on it as a bargain if he can help them win trophies.
Wagner, who was born in Munich, began his career with Bayern after spending most of his youth career in their system.
