BILD: Dortmund negotiating to sign Chelsea defender this summer

Dortmund are looking to bring a Chelsea defender into their ranks this summer as they negotiate to sign him, according to reports in Germany yesterday.

Chelsea have a number of players who’s futures are unclear at the moment, and some returning loanees who will also need their next moves sorted out.

Chelsea are interested in signing Real Madrid midfielder, Casemiro this summer.

One of them is Ian Maatsen, who has just spent the season on loan with Coventry in the Championship and had a successful spell. So much so in fact that he is now attracting keen interest from Dortmund.

BILD claim that they are negotiating to sign him, likely on loan, from Chelsea for this season, as also cited on Spox.com.

Maatsen is highly rated at Chelsea and you’d imagine that they will be looking for him to come back in eventually. A season in Bundesliga will do him wonders and will be great for his development.
