Atalanta have confirmed the arrival of Charles De Ketelaere from Serie A rivals Milan, a season after he arrived at San Siro.
The Belgian arrived last summer for a €35.5m fee but struggled to adapt to Stefano Pioli’s system, going on to provide just one assist in his 40 appearances for the club.
He now makes the move across Lombardy to Bergamo on an initial season-long loan.
However, Atalanta do have an option to make the move permanent at the end of the campaign for a reported €26m fee.
In addition, that deal would also include a potential €4m in bonuses for the Rossoneri, who will also hold a 10% sell-on clause.
