Manchester United have been handed an injury boost with Antony back in team training ahead of the FA Cup semi-final against Coventry City this weekend.

The Red Devils went winless for the fourth straight league game on Saturday. They played out a 2-2 draw against Bournemouth after Bruno Fernandes scored a brace.

Antony has had a difficult second season at United. He has bagged just one assist from 25 Premier League games and has yet to find the back of the net.

Despite this, he has shown plenty of improvement. The 24-year-old scored a crucial equaliser in the second half of the FA Cup quarter-final win over Liverpool.

Antony was also brilliant in the 4-3 Premier League loss at Chelsea. He delivered a fantastic ‘trivela’ assist while making eight ball recoveries and completing six dribbles.

Manager Erik ten Hag surprisingly dropped him to the bench for the 2-2 draw against Liverpool before he was absent for the visit of Bournemouth which ended all square.

Antony deserves to make the starting line-up on Sunday based on recent displays, but Ten Hag will likely continue with Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford out wide.

United are clear favourites to beat Coventry at Wembley Stadium, but they can’t be complacent against the Championship outfit.

They stunned Wolverhampton Wanderers with a 3-2 win in the quarter-final at the Molineux with two stoppage-time goals.
