Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has made a big prediction for the upcoming Premier League clash against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

The Gunners suffered their first loss of the Champions League campaign after a 1-0 defeat to Inter Milan away from home.

The London giants had the vast share of chances in the game, but Inter were resolute with some last-ditch defending.

The Nerazzurri eventually came on top with a solitary goal from the penalty spot.

Arsenal could have hand a penalty too after goalkeeper Yann Sommer punched Mikel Merino while attempting a clearance.

Speaking after the game, the manager said that it was the best European performance from his side, but the result did not fall their way.

The Spaniard added that the Gunners have a big chance to win against Chelsea if they can replicate the showing at Stamford Bridge.

He told Arsenal.com: “If we play the way we play, we‘ll have a big chance to win against Chelsea. That‘s the way we have to go. I told them that I’m proud of them.

“I haven‘t seen them play in Europe in the manner that we have today. We are disappointed because we didn’t get what we wanted out of the game, that’s for sure.”

Arsenal were unfortunate to suffer a defeat at San Siro. Denzel Dumfries and Yann Bisseck made goal saving challenges in the second half.

Sommer also came up with a brilliant fingertip save to deny Kai Havertz, who tried to curl his effort into the top left corner of the Inter net.

Despite the defeat, there were plenty of positives and Arsenal need to replicate the same display to ensure they pick up a win at Chelsea.

Arsenal are already seven points behind leaders Liverpool in the Premier League while they are five points adrift of second-placed Manchester City.

Sunday’s game in west London is a must win for the Gunners. Any other outcome could hand a major blow to their title prospects this season.
