Inter Milan wingback Federico Dimarco is likely to miss upcoming matches against Feyenoord, Monza, and Atalanta through injury.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews. They report that the 27-year-old won’t likely return until after the international break for the Nerazzurri.

Inter Milan wingback Federico Dimarco underwent tests with the club’s medical staff today.

These confirmed that the Italian international had suffered a muscle strain during Saturday’s Serie A draw with Napoli.

Specifically, Dimarco has strained the thigh flexor muscles in his right leg.

Dimarco had started that match. The wingback admitted that he had already been feeling some pain in his thigh in the first half. And he was unable to run it off, so he was forced off the pitch.

Federico Dimarco To Miss Feyenoord, Monza & Atalanta Clashes

Dimarco will certainly miss Inter’s next match. They take on Feyenoord away in the first leg of a Champions League round of sixteen tie on Wednesday.

Then, Sky report, the Italian international will also miss the Nerazzurri’s next couple matches.

Inter take on Monza in Serie A next weekend. Then, next week they face Feyenoord again in the reverse fixture of their Champions League round of sixteen tie.

It is less certain that Dimarco will miss Inter’s last match before the international break.

The Nerazzurri take on Atalanta later this month before the break.

There would be some hope of recovering Dimarco for that match.

However, more likely than not the 27-year-old will also miss the match against La Dea, reports FCIN. Therefore, Dimarco will likely be out until after the break.

This is particularly an issue considering the other injuries that the team already has in the wingback positions.
