With unbeaten records so far, it’s little surprise that our Euro 2022 team of the group stage is dominated by England, Germany and France.
But that doesn’t mean there’s no space for anyone else.
Crucial in helping Austria get out of Group A, Zinsberger has been fantastic, conceding just once against England and not again in the two games since.
Runner-up: Sandra Sigurdardóttir (Iceland)
Superb defensively and on the ball, Bronze has been excellent so far, with England tearing defences apart down the right.
Runner-up: Giulia Gwinn (Germany)
Hegering barely played in 2021/22 due to injury but there is no doubting her fitness now, the centre-back has been rock solid but also excellent in possession.
Runner-up: Wendie Renard (France)
Spain have underwhelmed so far but Mapí Leon’s quality has shone through. The set-piece-taking centre-back has outstanding technical quality and is an uncompromising defender with a near-impossible task as her team continues to be hit on the break.
The Barcelona defender has handled the tests as well as you could expect.
Runner-up: Leah Williamson (England)
The French left-back has displayed all the attributes of the perfect modern wingback thus far. Dynamic, aggressive, smart with and without the ball.
Runner-up: Jonna Andersson (Sweden)
The key to England’s attack-minded approach, Walsh not only protects the defence but also sets the tempo with her incisive passing from the base of midfield.
Runner-up: Lena Oberdorf (Germany)
A surprise goal threat so far, Geyoro has everything you could want from a midfield and is central to France’s success.
Runner-up: Sara Däbritz (Germany)

Three games, five goals, three assists. Beth Mead has been ice cold in the final third.
Runner-up: Svenja Huth (Germany)
Aslanni has oozed class for Sweden. The attacking midfielder works hard but she adds flair to the team as well and has superb vision. The dream team player.
Runner-up: Georgia Stanway (England)
Playing in midfield, Kirby has sprinkled quality and creativity through every England performance so far and is a genuine contender for Player of the Tournament.
Runner-up: Fridolina Rolfö (Sweden)
Injured in 2013 and 2017, then a serious injury last year when the tournament should have taken place, Popp is finally at a Euros aftere and making the most of it. The tireless, selfless, intelligent forward has two goals so far and looks hungry for more.
Runner-up: Ellen White (England)
