Nottingham Forest playmaker Joao Carvalho has been linked with a move to Olympiacos, which has caught the attention of many Reds fans on Twitter.

The playmaker arrived at the City Ground in a big-money move from Benfica in 2018 but has fallen out of favour since his first season with Forest.

Carvalho spent last season on loan with UD Almeria in LaLiga2 and though he’s been back involved with the Reds’ first team this term, opportunities have been hard to come by and he’s played less than 350 minutes of senior football.

It seems his time with the East Midlands club could be set to end, with Greek journalist Giannis Chorianopoulos revealing that Olympiacos – another of the club’s owned by Forest chief Evangelos Marinakis – had taken action toward a potential move.

With Carvalho’s Forest contract expiring next summer, this window could represent the club’s best chance to try and recoup some of the transfer fee they spent bringing him to the club.

His exit would also clear some space on the wage bill and may allow Cooper to add one or two more players to his squad before the end of the window.

Can you name which club Nottingham Forest signed these 28 defenders from?
