It was a moment that symbolised a journey and a run that encapsulated the will to win of a team that went on to achieve the ultimate aim. The best goal in the 2021/22 season is the irresistible, individual, box-box surging run by Theo Hernández in the last home game of the year, the 2-0 win against Atalanta at San Siro. That effort sealed the victory in front of a packed full-house at San Siro and undoubtedly represents one of the most iconic moments of the Rossoneri season: a true title-winning goal.
In the final, decided by the fans on AC Milan's social media channels, the number 19 had the better of his national counterpart Olivier Giroud, whose deciding goal in the 2-1 victory over Inter in the derby in February also had a huge bearing on the season. Well Done Theo!
