The international break has brought a new wave of injuries impacting our favoured picks as we head into the most congested phase of the Premier League season.
So, who are the top 10 FPL picks by predicted points going into Gameweek 12?

It will be Ruben Amorim’s first game in charge for Manchester United on Sunday when they travel to promoted Ipswich Town, with the AI recognising the potential of their captain Bruno Fernandes. He’s provided double-digit hauls since Erik ten Hag departed the club, with two goals and two assists in the last two gameweeks. He has the routes to points given his involvement in set pieces, including penalties, but we do need to monitor any change in his role ahead of a kind run of fixtures.
A challenging away trip to the champions Manchester City has not deterred the AI from seeing the potential of Spurs captain Heung-min Son, who has four goal involvements in his last four Premier League appearances for the club. He has the pedigree in this fixture, with four goals and three assists across their last nine meetings, including a double-digit haul in the 3-3 draw in this fixture last season. He could be fatigued after plenty of miles over the international break.
Arsenal talisman Bukayo Saka is another player who has faced some fitness issues while on international duty, with the Gunners needing their main man back to face an in-form Nottingham Forest side. Home comforts should suit him, with seven goal involvements in five appearances at the Emirates this season. Saka has plenty of routes to points, with goal and assist threats in equal measure, plus a heavy involvement in set pieces, including penalties.
Fulham striker Raul Jimenez has the form going into this home game, which will be a significant one facing his former employers Wolves. He has six goal involvements in eight starts this season and is beginning to replicate the form we saw from him in a Wolves shirt back in 2018/19 and 2019/20, where he was able to accumulate over 20 goal involvements a season. Wolves have conceded more goals (27) than any other side in the league this season.
Villa have been in a rocky patch of form in the last six gameweeks, with just one win in this time. Their main man Ollie Watkins has blanked in the last three, but remains one of the most consistent forwards in the game this season, with seven goal involvements for the campaign already. He scored for England over the break which will be an important confidence boost. A home game against Crystal Palace comes at a good time, with the Eagles without a clean sheet on the road this season.
Manchester City need their playmaker Kevin De Bruyne back fit and at his brilliant best as they look to recover from consecutive defeats on the road — and four in a row overall in all competitions. The Belgian could be in line for his first league start since mid-September for the visit of Spurs, having taken the international break off. He has one goal and one assist from the first four gameweeks of the season, where he produced 16 key passes as well as having 14 attempts on goal himself.
Chelsea’s Cole Palmer was absent for England international duty but has been spotted in training this week ahead of a trip to promoted Leicester City. The Foxes have conceded a league-high 144 shots in the box this season, so you’d expect Chelsea and Palmer to get plenty of opportunities in this game. Palmer has 12 goal involvements in 11 appearances this season, although more than half of those have come at Stamford Bridge.
Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak has played 90 minutes in four consecutive league games since returning from injury, producing four goal involvements in this period. His underlying numbers suggest that these high levels are sustainable, sitting second only to Erling Haaland for big chances over this spell, with seven. Home comforts will suit him for the visit of West Ham, a side who have conceded nine goals in their last four trips on the road.
Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah has been in sensational form this season and so it’s surprising to see he doesn’t take top spot ahead of the trip to promoted Southampton this weekend. He has a remarkable 14 goal involvements already this season, including four goals and two assists in the last four gameweeks. He’s blanked just once on the road this season and has produced seven double-digit hauls. He also has penalties in his locker.
Erling Haaland’s four goals and one assist for Norway in the international break gives hope that he will return to consistent scoring form for Manchester City in the Premier League. He has a leading 12 goals so far this season, but only two of those have come in the last six gameweeks, which is below his very high standards. Haaland sits top for shots and big chances on goal in this period, and given that he’s on penalties too, more returns should be coming.
