The UEFA European Championship (Euros) is acclaimed to be the next best-watched football competition after the World Cup.

That’s no surprise because Euros has provided ground for great entertainment and competitiveness for the football world to thrive on.

This year’s Euro 2021 is on course to creating that special atmosphere once more. If not anything else (and that isn’t the case), it’d be entertaining to see how VAR plays out in Euro 2021.

As always, great football is always beneficial to everyone; football pundits, football players, sports-related websites, euro 2021 betting sites and even non-football fans who are always curious to know why football is fascinating to anyone.

As Inter Milan players will be looking to impress for their separate national teams, it seems fitting to give a quick solid rundown of three of the best Inter player performances at the Euros, in no particular order.

Here we go!

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Inter Milan 2006 – 2009

Zlatan is no doubt one of the most impressive footballers of his generation. His very successful career at Inter Milan is proof of that.

In his not-so-long spell at Inter, Ibrahimovic bagged prestigious Serie A awards including Serie A Footballer of the Year and Top Scorer in the league.

While still wearing Inter’s illustrious blue and black, Zlatan did his job well at the Euro 2008 competition netting two goals in just three games.

Although Sweden got knocked out at the group stage, Zlatan still did Zlatan stuff and grabbed one Man of the Match award following an impressive win against Greece.

Wesley Sneijder, Inter Milan 2009 – 2012

Six-time Inter trophy winner, Wesley Sneijder was simply instrumental to one of the most prolific Inter squads of all time.

His attacking skills and ability to score gravity-defying long-distance shots are part of what makes him so special.

Sneijder’s biggest Euros came in both 2008 and 2012 with the former being the more successful of the two.

Sneijder’s performance for the Netherlands at Euro 2008 was so good that it earned him a place on the Team of the Tournament.

Luis Figo, Inter Milan 2005 – 2009

Figo had a pretty successful career with Inter Milan. Perhaps, the most memorable shot of Figo was that 94th minute hit against Roma in the SuperCoppa Italiana.

As a Portuguese player, Figo had great success in Euros – the only thing left was to win the final match. Figo led his team to the semi-finals and finals of Euro 2000 and Euro 2004 respectively. His performance in both competitions put him in the Team of the Tournament in two consecutive competitions.
