Bernardeschi: Ronaldo an example for everybody to follow

Federico Bernardeschi has praised Cristiano Ronaldo’s impact at Juventus, insisting he is an “example for everybody to follow”.

Ronaldo joined the Serie A champions in a surprise €100m transfer, and after a slow start is beginning to prove his worth.

Bernardeschi has also improved this season and has credited the 33-year-old with changing his professional mindset.

“When Ronaldo arrived at Juventus he was calm and relaxed,” he told Sky Italia. “I think he can become a special here.

“Despite everything he won, he’s never changed. He has kept his integrity as a person. He is an example for everybody to follow.

“My growth was continuous and consistent but I must say that in the last year I did something more. He has helped me to improve.”
