Juventus winger Federico Bernardeschi has reacted positively to the news that Maurizio Sarri could become the club’s next manager.

Juve are in the market for a new coach following Massimiliano Allegri’s departure at the end of the season and various reports on Friday suggested a deal had been reached for Sarri to join from Chelsea.

The former Napoli boss ran the Bianconeri close for the Serie A title in the 2017/18 season and Bernardeschi feels he would be a good fit for the Italian champions.

“I do not express myself, there is a serious company with good managers,” the Italian international told reporters.

“Certainly it will be a Juventus coach. Every coach who arrives will bring one more step for each player.

“A coach always gives you something new for your locker.

“As a player, I can say that Sarri is a good coach: if he is our coach I don’t know, we must respect the company.”

More rumours over the weekend suggest Juventus are still hoping Pep Guardiola will become their next manager but the talk has been flatly denied by Manchester City sources.

It would therefore seem that Sarri is the most likely candidate as things stand.
