Bermuda, Trinidad and Tobago advance to the Final Round

MIAMI – Bermuda and Trinidad and Tobago secured their place in the Final Round as the Second Round of the Concacaf Qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup 2026 concluded on Tuesday with matches in Groups A and B.
The Road to the 2026 continued for Concacaf nations with the final encounters of the Second Round during the June 2025 match window. The group winners and runners-up will progress to the Third and Final Round.
Group A
Cuba 1, Bermuda 2
The visitors took the lead in the 6’ with a goal from close range by Djair Parfitt-Williams.
Jorge Aguirre equalized for Los Leones del Caribe in the 58’ by putting the finishing touch on a pass from Marcos Campo.
Reggie Lambe recovered the lead for Bermuda in the 74’, with a poised finish in the box, after connecting on a through ball from Ne-Jai Tucker.
With the victory, Bermuda overtook Cuba for the second place in the group and the final ticket to the Final Round.
Honduras 2, Antigua and Barbuda 0
Honduras won 2-nil against Antigua and Barbuda in Group A at Estadio José de la Paz Herrera Uclés in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
Los Catrachos took the lead in the 49’ through a Getsel Montes header, assisted by Joseph Rosales.
Anthony Lozano had a penalty attempt in the 64’ but was denied by Antigua and Barbuda goalkeeper Shahoi Dorsett.
Alexy Vega struck from outside the box in the 80’ to seal the victory for Honduras.
Group B
Saint Kitts and Nevis 2, Grenada 3
Grenada won 3-2 against Saint Kitts and Nevis in Group B at Warner Park Football Stadium in Basseterre, Saint Kitts and Nevis.
Tyreece Simpson placed the home side in the lead in the 34’ with a left-footed strike from the outside edge of the box.
Regan Charles-Cook equalized for the visitors in the 49’ with a shot from the left side of the box.
Jermaine Francis placed Grenada in the lead with a header in the 76’ to connect on a corner kick service from Charles-Cook.
Darius Johnson extended the lead for The Spice Boys in the 90’+1’ to all but seal the victory.
Romaine Sawyer cut the deficit for Saint Kitts and Nevis in the 90’+4’ as Grenada took the three points and awaited the result of the other match in the group.
Costa Rica 2, Trinidad and Tobago 1
Costa Rica won 2-1 over Trinidad and Tobago in Group B at Estadio Nacional de Costa Rica in San José, Costa Rica.
Jeyland Mitchell scored the opening goal in the 23’, delivering a header to a cross from Francisco Calvo, to place Los Ticos in the lead.
Warren Madrigal doubled the lead for the hosts in the 38’ on their way to securing the top spot in the group.
Levi García took one back for Trinidad and Tobago in the 58’, connecting on a through ball from Kevin Molino.
Despite the defeat, The Soca Warriors maintained their second place standing with seven points and a higher goal difference than Grenada.
