An unbelievable piece of skill to assist Cristiano Ronaldo was made even better by Dimitar Berbatovās nonchalance to the whole piece of play.
It was 2008 when the Bulgarian pulled off a mesmeric turn against West Ham to keep the ball in play, beat the defender and set up a goal at Old Trafford.
Many Manchester United fans will remember the sheer audacity of it all but at the time, at least on the outside, Berbatov was completely unfussed by the move he had just pulled off as his team-mates rushed to congratulate him. Just another every day occurrence in the life of the silky striker.
However, a decade on, he has revealed he felt completely different on the inside but was just very good at concealing the thrill.
Speaking to FourFourTwo, he looked back on setting up Ronaldoās goal and laughed: āAfter heād scored, I tried to look so cool ā no emotion, just walking back to the halfway line like nothing had happened, like, āYeah, this is a usual day for me.ā But inside I was like, āF**king hell, did you all see that?!ā
Got to be honest, a great anecdote but weāre a little disappointed heās spoilt the illusion. We miss him sauntering about the pitch, doing incredible things with a football with not a care in the world.
Coolness personified. What a touch. What a player.
