Today, Giuseppe Marotta has been proposed as the new President of Serie A champions Inter Milan.

“I would like to thank Oaktree for the trust they have shown in giving me this opportunity to work alongside them and the Board of Directors,” said Marotta. “This appointment is a recognition of the fantastic work done by the many people who have run the Club over the past three years. I am proud to be part of Inter and I reiterate my commitment to the Company.”

Marotta became CEO for Sport at Inter back in 2018 after an impressive career particularly as the CEO at Juventus. There he helped to oversee an incredible transition for the Old Lady. They went from mediocrity to domination in a flash under his tenure and the likes of Andrea Pirlo, Arturo Vidal and Paul Pogba all came to the club under his watch, as well as title winning boss Antonio Conte.

He has already seen silverware in Inter and will be hoping to add to that tally as President in the years to come. “Marotta will give strong continuity to the Club and bring to the Presidency the experience, passion and dedication gained over the course of a brilliant career in the football world.” says Oaktree.
