Karim Benzema will be looking to add to his goals tally against Valencia when the sides lock horns on Sunday. The Real Madrid frontman, who leads the division's scoring charts with five goals to his name, has been on target in his last five appearances against the team's next LaLiga opponents, notching six goals in the process. Meanwhile, the striker’s 12-goal haul (10 in LaLiga and two in the Copa del Rey) against Valencia make them his third-favourite opponents, with only Athletic and Granada (14) having endured the Frenchman's goalscoring talents on more occasions.

Benzema's scoring streak against Valencia stretches back to the 2018/19 campaign, when he registered in the away trip. The following season, he found the net in both LaLiga meetings (a double on home soil and a goal at Mestalla). Last time round, he struck once in the sides' meeting in the first half of the campaign on Valencian territory, before bagging another in the encounter at the Alfredo Di Stéfano.
