Karim Benzema overtook Santillana as the player who has played the fifth most games in the history of Real Madrid (646). The Frenchman has reached this figure in his 14th season at the club and is only behind Sergio Ramos (671), Sanchís (710), Casillas (725) and Raúl (741).

Benzema made his debut against Deportivo La Coruña on August 29, 2009. He has since played 437 LaLiga matches, 133 Champions League matches, 49 in the Copa del Rey, 9 in the Club World Cup, 13 in the Spanish Super Cup and 5 in the European Super Cup. After lifting the Copa del Rey against Osasuna, our captain has won 25 titles and is, alongside Marcelo, as the Madrid player who has won the most trophies in the club's history.
