Benzema and Courtois nominated for 2021 Globe Soccer Awards

Karim Benzema and Thibaut Courtois have been nominated for the 2021 Globe Soccer Awards, which will be presented in Dubai on  27 December. The madridista forward is in the running to claim the Best Men’s Player of the Year gong and is joined in the shortlist by Messi, Donnarumma Verratti, Marquinhos, Neymar, Mbappé, Jorginho, Azpilicueta, Kanté, Lukaku, Lewandowski, Kimmich, Müller, Rubén Dias, De Bruyne, Bruno Fernández, Cristiano Ronaldo, Salah, Kane, Chiesa and Haaland.

Meanwhile, Courtois features in the nine-strong shortlist for the Best Goalkeeper of the Year prize, where he faces competition from Donnarumma, Keylor Navas, Oblak, Emiliano Martínez, Mendy, Ederson, Neuer and Maignan.

Voting Fans have up until 8 December to cast their votes for their favourite five players on theGlobe Soccer Awards website. A second round of votes will be held between the 9th and the 17th  that will include an international panel of coaches, directors and presidents.
