Portuguese side Benfica’s David Neres is interested in a possible move to Napoli.
According to a report by Gianluca Di Marzio, Napoli continue to work with Benfica to materialise the transfer of David Neres this summer. The player has welcomed Napoli’s recent interest and is expected to push his club to accept the Partenopei’s offer.
The Aguias value the 27-year-old in the region of €25 million and Napoli aim to bring him to add to their squad’s attacking depth ahead of the new season under new manager Antonio Conte.
Neres is also being quoted by Dutch side PSV but he has clearly expressed a desire to play for the Neapolitans. He played 35 games across all competitions last season for Benfica, scoring five goals and registering ten assists.
In other news, Napoli are looking to offload Victor Osimhen and an agreement is expected to be reached with Chelsea soon.
