Iman Beney says she is looking forward to meeting the City faithful as she stressed the important part the fans play off the pitch.
Andrée Jeglertz’s latest addition will be introduced to fans for the first time at the Joie Stadium for our open training session.
Beney, fresh from the Euros in Switzerland, will also appear alongside fellow new recruits on Tuesday 5 August.
The unique ‘City Are Back’ event presented by Etihad Airways will start at 12:30 (UK) and finish at 17:00 (UK).
It aims to excite fans about the return of club football by offering them a chance to watch the two squads train, including seeing our signings in action for the first time.
Beney will be one of City’s new recruits stepping out at the Joie Stadium for the first time and the Swiss midfielder is looking forward to the occasion as she aims to build a strong connection with supporters during her debut season in blue.
“I can’t wait to meet the fans,” Beney told us.
“After being away with Switzerland for the Euros, I am ready to give everything for this club and am so excited to go on this journey with you.
“I know the connection between the fans and the players plays a massive role on the pitch for us, and we know we can count on you to help us have a successful season.
“I can’t wait to come and meet you all for the first time on Tuesday, and I’m sure the rest of the girls are excited for it too!”
Tickets for the special event, which are priced at £5 for adults and £3 for Under 21s and Over 65s, are now on general sale, after a period of exclusive access for official members.
Four tickets can be claimed for each transaction, so fans can bring a friends or family members should they wish. Mobile tickets will be issued closer to the event.
