Reports in France claim that Venezia have an agreement in place over a contract for former Monaco and Sevilla striker Wissam Ben Yedder, who has been available as a free agent after leaving Monaco at the end of last season.
According to reports from Le Parisien, the 34-year-old striker has been handed an opportunity in Venice after leaving Monaco last year.

Ben Yedder left Monaco at the end of his contract last year, but has not signed for another club since then, with a serious legal case ongoing in the background.
Back in November, Ben Yedder was handed a two-year suspended sentence for an alleged sexual assault that took place in September. According to Le Parisien, the 34-year-old has appealed the verdict.
He also reportedly remains under investigation for rape, attempted rape and sexual assault from an alleged incident that dates back to the summer of 2023.
Before then, the former France international had become Monaco’s second highest goalscorer of all time, with a total tally of 118 goals from 201 appearances across all competitions. 98 of those strikes came in Ligue 1.
