Arsenal’s emphatic 5-0 win over Chelsea was a statement performance, but it also highlighted a surprising statistic.

Ben White scored his third and fourth Arsenal goals of the season against Chelsea as Arsenal demolished Mauricio Pochettino’s men 5-0 to go three points top of the table with just four games left, but he also matched a current Manchester United striker’s total goal tally for his time in the Premier League.

Volleying home Arsenal’s fifth after a sumptuous Martin Odegaard pass, the defender admitted after the game that he hadn’t quite meant his sublime finish for his second of the night and Arsenal‘s fifth.

“I think I was pretty shocked to be fair when it went in,” he said. “It was an amazing ball by Martin, and I got a bit of luck.

He downplayed the intention behind the finish, saying “It’s just one of those, isn’t it? I tried to get it back across goal and it went in the net.”

That was his fourth of the season (with five assists) giving him six Arsenal goals in his career, along with 10 assists.

In 2022, Manchester United paid Ajax £80m to sign Antony and, in 50 Premier League games, the 24-year-old striker has scored four goals, with three assists.

That is all.
