As a result of this triumph, United moved back into the play-off places in the Championship and will now be determined to retain a spot in the top-six for the remainder of the campaign.

Although the Blades will be brimming with confidence heading into tomorrow’s meeting with Millwall, they know that they will need to be at their very best in this fixture as their opponents have won each of their last three league games.

Having utilised the 3-4-2-1 formation against Blackburn, Heckingbottom may decide to stick with this system tomorrow.

Goalkeeper Wes Foderingham will be looking to continue his impressive form for the Blades in this fixture after claiming his 12th clean-sheet of the 2021/22 campaign against Blackburn.

Jack Robinson and John Egan will feature in central-defence alongside Davies who made a positive impact as a substitute in the club’s midweek fixture.

With Charlie Goode set to miss three games due to the fact that he was shown a straight red card against Rovers, Davies could boost his chances of claiming a regular spot in the Blades’ starting eleven by delivering the goods for his side.

Fellow centre-back Chris Basham is also currently being forced to watch on from the sidelines due to injury and thus Heckingbottom will need Davies to step up to the mark.

What year was Billy Sharp born?

1986 1987 1988 1989

Having recorded a respectable WhoScored match rating of 7.05 during the club’s victory over Blackburn, Davies will be relatively confident in his ability to produce another assured display this weekend.

Rhys Norrington-Davies and George Baldock will be deployed in the wing-back positions whilst Oliver Norwood will be accompanied in central-midfield by Morgan Gibbs-White.

When you consider that Sharp has already provided 19 direct goal contributions at this level during the current campaign, it wouldn’t be at all surprising if he adds to this tally at The Den.
