Ben Chilwell has confirmed another injury setback via social media on Tuesday.

The Chelsea defender picked up a hamstring issue during the club’s win over Brighton, where manager Mauricio Pochettino confirmed it didn’t look good for the 26-year-old.

According to initial reports, Chilwell is set to be out until December, leaving a vacant position for both club and country.

“Can’t catch a break,” read Chilwell’s post. “Believe me, I am more frustrated than you guys. All I can do now is help the team as best I can from the sidelines, until I can get back to giving everything for the club on the pitch again.”

England have limited options at left-back, and this injury would rule Chilwell out for the remainder of the European qualifiers. He was just regaining his place in the squad after missing the 2022 World Cup in Qatar through injury.

Chelsea, meanwhile, will be without their vice-captain for crunch clashes against Arsenal, Tottenham, Manchester City, Newcastle and Manchester United.
