It was Jude Bellingham’s late goal that gave Real Madrid all three points in the team’s first UEFA Champions League clash of the season against Union Berlin.

Last night, he was on the money once more as Los Blancos locked horns with Napoli at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.

The 20-year-old scored a sensational solo goal to hand his side the lead in the first half. Not to forget, he also assisted Vini Jr’s early equaliser on the night.

The English phenom spoke to the media after his second UCL game in the white colours. He began by recalling his goal on the night and calling it one of the best ones he has ever scored.

“It may have been one of my best goals. We were in front of a great team and a great stadium. The most important thing has been the victory and having contributed to it.”

“They are three points that put us in a good situation and allow us to look forward instead of backwards. It’s important to keep up with this pace,” he added on the victory.

At the moment, not many players in world football can claim to be in better touch than Bellingham. The player elaborated on his mentality and confidence to stay at such a high level.

“I trust my abilities, but I didn’t know that everything could go so well. I owe everything to the coaching staff and my teammates because they make it very easy to express myself as I am doing.”

The new signing’s solo goal on the night drew comparisons with Diego Maradona, especially considering that the game was at the stadium named after the Argentine legend.

“It’s been a good goal. Because of the things I have seen in documentaries, Maradona’s quality was greater than mine,” Bellingham humbly said when asked about the same.

“I was just trying to contribute as Jude, not as Maradona. In stadiums with atmospheres like this, it is important to win and play well,” he then added.

Wednesday’s game gave the world a glimpse of why the Bellingham-Vinicius combination is one of the most lethal in the sport. The English midfielder commented on his teammate and linked up with him.

“Vinicius is incredible. He is probably the best in the world and one of the most talented teammates I have ever had. It makes the games much easier for me. His speed and talent are a great company and I hope it stays that way.”
